The musical sound known as black music has permeated both Western and Eastern societies. It is a sound that comes from numerous parts of the world, but of course, its roots and most of its origins come from the great African continent.
Sounds and music that have been passed down from generation to generation, by word of mouth until reaching our days, which, like all music, is impregnated with other sounds and has become globalized.
Many of the music styles we listen to today could be said to have a black origin, a sound that comes from the spirituals. Blues, jazz, gospel, rap, R&B funk, and soul are some of the styles that have come from the same root and can be called the Black Sound. There are many Afro sounds that came from another line more Latin, in their beginnings a pure and indigenous sound and later transformed into current sounds as we know Latin music and folklore and another part of the Afro sound more Jamaican such as its main genre, reggae.
What black music has in common is that it has always wanted to convey a positive message of struggle, equality between races, social rights, whether through gospel, the hip-hop movement through rap, soul, or blues.
BLACKSOUND COSTA ADEJE MUSIC 2021 is a project that will feature several internationally recognized artists, accompanied by excellent musicians such as those from the Bsa Band created "Ad hoc" for the festival and an opening of shows with local groups as different as Female Version, Patty Backer or Haridian Rodríguez.
This event will give way to three evenings where the great musical talent that exists in the Canary Islands will be combined with the passion for black music and the influence of other cultures and the participation of great international artists who promote this genre and sound where a local band will immerse us in sounds and rhythms that, not being unfamiliar to us, come from other lands and roots.
