Born and raised in culturally diverse North London, singer Liz Jai brings a soulful touch to create music that moves you. Her African and Indian heritage has given rise to the varied mix of sounds evident in her voice.
Her smooth vocal tone has afforded her the opportunity to travel the world as a backing singer recording and performing with a plethora of the UK’s finest artists including Joss Stone, Emeli Sande, John Newman, Maverick Sabre, Leona Lewis, Katy B and many more.
She was also one of the founding members of the Urban Development Vocal Collective (UDVC) working, performing, collaborating and recording with artists like Labrinth (Syco Music) and Shola Ama.
She was also a member of the London Community Gospel Choir for several years and now leads a choir in her local community which recently appeared on the Britain’s Got Talent TV show.
She also featured on the track «This is Love» with Richard Earnshaw, which has been in the top 10 on traxsource’s soulful house chart. Most recently, Liz Jai released a song titled «Surrender» with Mark Di Meo on Defected Records, which was number one in 2020 on TraxSource, and currently has a new release for the summer of 2023 called «Give It To You,» available on Dvine by Sam Divine. Sound and Defected Records after collaborating with the fantastic German DJ and producer Chambray and Australian music producer The Aston Shuffle.
